Foundation Skills

Cuboid Surface Area

Add up the area of all 6 faces (3 pairs of rectangles).

Formula: SA = 2(lw + lh + wh)

Example: 3 × 4 × 5: SA = 2(12 + 15 + 20) = 2(47) = 94 cm²

Higher Skills

Sphere Surface Area

Formula: SA = 4πr²

Example: r = 5: SA = 4π(25) = 314.2 cm²

Hemisphere

Curved surface + flat circular base.

Formula: SA = 3πr²

Example: r=4: SA = 3π(16) = 150.8 cm²
